The Kenilwoth Ivy grows in wall cracks or clefts. The plant, which is also called Devil's Ribbon, preferes warm and moist locations. The small, hard seed sprout in the darkness. They grow in thick tufts out of the cracks in stone and walls. The little, most light-violet, blossoms show marks reminiscent of masks. They bloom from june till september.
