Fuchsias are a species-rich genus which mainly originates from Central and South America. They are named after the botanist Leonhart Fuchs. Basically, the fruits of fuchsias are edible, though not necessarily tasty. Fuchsias thrive in the shade. With sufficient water supply, they also feel comfortable in the sun. The flowers occur in many colors. The color palette was expanded through targeted breeding selection.
