The kris plant is a tropical plant originating from the Philippines. It is cultivated as a house plant, but rather tricky to care for. The name is a reference to the shape of its leaves, which resemble the wavy blade of a traditional Indonesian kris dagger. The infructescence with red berries is characteristic for plants of the arum family.	These plants prosper in high atmospheric humidity but can't stand waterlogging.	The yellowish spadix is enclosed by a white spathe.
