+Mature plants of the same species can be bred to each other. To breed a plant, click the link "Breed" on its page (you can get there from your Greenhouse by clicking the plant image or the "View" text link in the classic list layout). You will see a list of all the compatible plants in your Garden that haven't been bred in the last 7 days. Now, choose the plant you want to breed your flower with. The color of parents has no influence on the color of their offspring. The color of a bred plant is randomly selected at the moment of breeding.

+If you have fewer than 3 seeds at the moment of breeding, the bred seed will stay in your garden. On the other hand, if all 3 flowerpots are already taken, the bred seed will be auto-abandoned to the wild garden. The seed's page shows its parents and the date of creation.
+===== Special Characteristics of Event Plants =====
+In the case of special flowers it must be taken into account that they can only be found and/or obtained by breeding during their specific season. With some exceptions, special plants can breed all year round with certain regular flowers they are closely related to. Compatible breeding partners are shown on the breeding page, unless they have been bred during the last 7 days. The results of such breedings are regular plants. Obtaining special seeds is only possible in the season, and players are informed on the forum about the specific time-frames.
 +
+Some special plants cannot be obtained by breeding at all, even in the season. So far, the details haven't been completely clear, so there are still some riddles to solve. Event time-frames are known from tradition and from the calendar; exact start and end dates are always announced on the forum. Due to considerable time differences, we often get some extra time to make it convenient for players living in different time-zones.
 +
+**Within a season a breeding can have the following results**
 +  * **seasonal plant * seasonal plant:** seasonal plant = 100%.
 +  * **seasonal plant * related regular plant:** seasonal plant = 100%.
+  * **related regular plant * related regular plant:** seasonal plant = 50%.
 +
+Event dates for particular plants can be found in the list of Special Flowers. Breeding details have been discussed below. The plants are arranged in chronological order.

+**Dandelion (Löwenzahn, Taraxacum sect. Ruderalia):** Parentless seeds of the Biting Dandelion cannot be found in the Wild Garden. However, the seeds obtained from breeding two regular dandelions (or a biting dandelion and a regular one) can develop into the biting variety. There is also a secret way to get a parentless Biting Dandelion. Hint: you will get one after certain conditions have been met. If you have been successful, please keep the secret to yourself; some people don't like spoilers. There is always a possibility to ask other players via PM on the forum.

+**Jack-o'lantern (Schreckenskürbis, Cucurbita horribilis):** The seed can be found in the Wild Garden around Halloween. Breeding to Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) is possible all year round and produces regular pumpkins; obtaining a Jack-o'Lantern by breeding is only possible around Halloween. Possible pairings include: regular pumpkin x regular pumpkin (low chance of getting Jack-o'Lantern) and Jack-o'Lantern x regular pumpkin (high chance of getting Jack-o'Lantern).

+**Christmas Star (Stern der Weihnacht, Facella natale miracilis):** Seeds cannot be found in the Wild Garden. Obtainable only for a short time around Christmas, by breeding a Christmas Tree to a Poinsettia. Breeding to Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) is possible all year round and produces regular Poinsettia.
 +
 +
+**Christmas wreath (Weihnachtsgestecke, Lucidezzdea natale):** Prize for completing the Christmas quest in 2011. Each player could win 2 wreaths.

+**Lucky clover (Glücksklee, Trifolium felix sylvesteri):** Seeds are available in the Wild Garden only for a short time around New Year's Eve. Breeding to White Clover (Trifolium repens) is possible all year round and produces regular clovers.
 +
 +
+**Heart of Valentine (Valentinsherz, Cuore Sanct Valentino):** Seeds cannot be found in the Wild Garden (unless abandoned by another player, which is unlikely due to their rarity). To get a parentless seed, follow the Valentine's Day tradition on February 14th and give a flower to someone. Breeding to Bleeding Heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) is possible all year round and produces Bleeding Hearts; obtaining a Heart of Valentine by breeding is only possible around St. Valentine's Day. Possible pairings include: Bleeding Heart x Bleeding Heart (low chance of getting Heart of Valentine) and Bleeding Heart x Heart of Valentine (high chance of getting Heart of Valentine).

+**Easter Egg (Osterei, Ostara leporidata muemmelmannsbergia):** During the Easter season, the Easter eggs are hidden in the game. It is possible that the Easter egg hunt will be a little different each year. In 2011 the players who were able to solve the riddle (with increasing level of difficulty) received a parcel from the post pixie. Hopefully, the package he will bring us this year will also contain an Easter egg we can raise to an Easter bunny.
 +
+In 2011, there were additional seed slots for raising the Easter eggs. We don't know if this will be the case also in 2012.
 +
 +
+**Witch Mushroom (Hexenhutpilz, Walpurgia faustinis):** On April 30th, known as Walpurga's Night or Night of the Witches, a secret ritual is celebrated on Blocksberg Mountain. As a result, Witch Mushroom seeds appear in the Wild Garden on May 1st and can be collected for a few following days.
 +
+**Marvel Fern (Zauberfarn, Filicis miraculii):** Reward for completing a special quest around Midsummer. Breeding to Male fern (Dryopteris filix-mas) is possible all year round and produces Male fern.
